An Unusual Subway Station in Chongqing, China
China’s Chongqing subway has an unusual station. At first, line 6, Caojiawan Station seems abandoned, but it was opened only in 2015. It looks like the plan was not quite though through. Out of the three planned exits, only one is used and the other two are overgrown with weeds and wilderness.
Even, functioning exit is a struggle for local commuters. After leaving the station, passengers end up in the middle of nowhere. There are no roads connected to the station, so people have to walk though the barrens.
The station is not really crowded, in fact, there are rarely any people, except employees. So, this might be a great opportunity to have a Chinese subway experience; without being squeezed in and having a face squashed against a window.
