Sun Cruise Resort: A Cruise-Inspired Getaway on the Coast of South Korea

Sun Cruise Resort & Yacht is a hotel resort located in Jeongdongjin on the east coast of South Korea. It is designed to resemble a cruise ship, particularly the Royal Caribbean International Sovereign class, and stands 165 meters long and 45 meters tall, offering views of the beach. The hotel sits atop a cliff, giving the illusion of a grounded cruise ship.

It features 211 rooms, including bedrooms and apartments, along with 6 function rooms and 6 restaurants serving Korean and European cuisine, including a rotating bar on the top floor. Amenities include a golf range, volleyball court, fitness club, and a saltwater swimming pool, all reinforcing the cruise ship theme.

Adjacent to the hotel is a park featuring landscaped gardens with sculptures, including “The Hands of Promise”, two giant hands rising from the ground. There’s also an observation area with a glass floor above the sea, an exhibition hall, and a lake. The sound of crashing waves can be heard throughout the hotel.
