Henningsvær soccer field
The Henningsvær, Norway is a home of only around 500 people. It consists of a few islets and has very well-preserved architecture. This fishing town, also enjoys soccer. That’s why Henningsvær Idrettslag Stadion was designed, for amateur players.
The field is located on an island and it is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Steep mountains,sea, fishermen cabins along the bays create an unforgettable experience.

- Observe the field from public routes and do not enter the pitch or event areas without permission. Henningsvær’s narrow roads are best explored on foot from larger parking lots; the regional tourism association recommends bus travel because summer roads are busy. The Arctic Route passes twice daily in summer; check current timetables. Respect residents, private property and local drone restrictions.

What an amazing place and those views! I captured a screenshot of what was on my desktop yesterday to show my partner. He was just as amazed as I was. We started doing some research…found this site! This is a great example of a country, a people who came together and decided to invest in itself for health and happiness. Bravo! Too often, we see these incredible places (think white sandy beaches) with no to little health-intended infrastructure like sidewalks, bike lanes, hiking trails, sports complexes….nothing! The place is beautiful, but the people are slowly dying. And that’s terrible!
So, again…kudos to Norway and the people of Henningsvær!
