One of Italy‘s most magnificent hidden beaches is located in the charming Italian town of San Nicola Arcella. Travelers often pass by secluded Arcomagno Beach without knowing what they have missed. Arcomagno Beach is home to a towering natural arch that leads to a secret pebble beach. Viewing the pristine aquamarine waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea framed by Arcomagno’s stately natural arch will convince you that you have stumbled upon an enchanted paradise.
In order to reach Arcomagno Beach, visitors must climb a sizable staircase and traverse some rocky terrain. Arcomagno can also be reached via kayak or paddleboat. If you’re attempting to hike to Arcomagno, be sure to wear sturdy footwear because the ground leading to the beach is jagged and uneven. There are no amenities at Arcomagno, so it is important to pack drinks, snacks, and beach supplies.
Reaching Arcomagno may take a little more effort than your average beach trip, but the reward is tremendous. Secluded Arcomagno Beach is one of the most peaceful beaches imaginable. There are generally very few people on the beach. The shallow, placid water is perfect for floating, wading, and relaxing without a care in the world. The stone cliffs that surround Arcomagno Beach will make you feel as though you have a private beach for a day.

The Arcomagno Beach Resort—which is located in San Nicola Arcella—overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea and features a lovely garden, a temperate pool, and a restaurant and bar that serves delectable salumi and cocktails. Guests can easily trek to Arcomagno Beach and arrive back at the Arcomagno Beach Resort in time for a sumptuous dinner and a poolside view of a prismatic sunset.
If you’re an early bird, watching the sunrise at Arcomagno Beach is a truly awe-inspiring experience. There are few things more breathtaking than watching light shine through the arch at Arcomagno Beach.

- The operator homepage currently instructs visitors to use the SOUTH ENTRANCE from Marinella Beach only; its FAQ describes the northern path but the homepage says that entrance is closed. The natural trail can be rough/steep. Swimming beneath the arch and passing under it by boat are prohibited. Follow staff instructions and the booked time slot.

- The operator’s ticket pages list prices from €4 and €2 for children up to age 12; the adult amount and availability can depend on the selected date. Confirm the chosen date in the live booking calendar before travelling. The operator says tickets may also be sold on site, subject to availability.
- Time needed
- The operator limits beach stay to 30 minutes; this excludes the approach path. Italy’s national tourism site estimates about 10 minutes each way on the steep path from Contrada Marinella. Allow extra time for the uneven descent and return; pace and conditions vary.

- The operator describes its supervised service as running April–October, but names no best month. October dates and sea/weather conditions can affect access; check the live calendar and local conditions for the day you plan to go.
- Opening hours
- The operator’s English booking page lists 10:00–17:00 (first entry 10:00, last 16:00); its separate Italian ticket page lists 08:30–19:30 (first 09:00, last 18:30). The visible booking calendar was not showing a current October slot when checked. Treat these as conflicting published schedules, not verified hours for your date; rely on the selected-date calendar/operator confirmation.
