Treehouse Point: Washington State’s Treehouse Getaway

Pete Nelson has had a passion for treehouses that dates back to his childhood in New Jersey. Nelson’s father constructed a whimsical treehouse in the family’s New Jersey backyard. As Nelson grew up, his love of treehouses continued to grow stronger. After attending college in Colorado, Nelson founded a construction business that was dedicated entirely to building treehouses. Nelson has constructed hundreds of treehouses all around the world, but his crowning achievement is undoubtedly a magical treehouse resort named Treehouse Point in Falls, Washington.

Treehouse Point features several rustic treehouses nestled in a luscious moss and fern-filled forest 30 minutes outside of Seattle. Visitors can rent treehouses constructed out of knotted wood with mystical names such as Temple of the Blue Moon, Trillium, and Ananda. Much like your beloved childhood treehouse, the treehouses of Treehouse Point lack indoor plumbing and private bathrooms. There is a communal bathhouse that features shared sinks, bathrooms, and showers. It is important to note that each bathroom and shower has a private stall. Each treehouse features electricity to appease the least rustic among us.
